Tour to Capri and Anacapri:
No holiday on the the Amalfi Coast would be complete
without a trip to the evocative island of Capri! Meet on the Amalfi Pier
and depart by steam boat for a pleasant sailing experience to the Isle
of Capri. During your trip, inhale breathtaking sights from the Amalfi
Coast to Campanella Cape and the Sorrento Coast. When you dock in Capri,
you will start your guided tour of the island by private minibus. You
will see majestic views of the Mediterranean as well as see the top
designer shops in the world nestled beside local merchant shops unique
to Capri. Don’t be surprised while sitting on the bus you begin to
crave something sweet from seeing the desserts from the local pastry and
gelato shop. Or, you might just smell an appetizing aroma to get the
gastronomic juices flowing.
You will then travel up the mountainside to Anacapri for
the visit of Villa St Michele built by the Swedish doctor and writer
Axel Munthe on the remains of Roman ruins. There is a wonderful view of
the island from its famous and beautiful shady garden.
From the Chapel St Michele’s terrace, you will enjoy a beautiful view of
the sea. When
you have completed your tour, you will transfer from Anacapri back to
Capri by private minibus for an optional lunch at one of the restaurants
you smelled great Italian food. After a leisurely lunch, visit
the Garden of Augustus, with a wonderful view of the famous “Faraglioni”.
The main square Piazza Umberto I, has a pretty white church and several
open-air cafes where you can sit and watch the world drift by
while sipping cappuccino. There will be free time for
shopping browsing around the elegant and exclusive island boutiques we
mentioned. On your way back, you also have an optional visit to the
Blue Grotto to admire the beautiful colour shades in the water, on the
walls and the vault. After a final beautiful view you transfer by steam
boat back to Amalfi; returning by 6:30 p.m. Entrance-fees are not
included in the excursions' prices.
Tour for Pompeii
& Vesuvius:
Whole day tour: escorted by guide and by deluxe motorcoach.
Pompeii
was destroyed by
volcanic eruption of Mont
Vesuvius
in 79 A.D. and buried by a seven meters thick lay of lapilli and ash.
The visit to the ruins will give
you the opportunity to see many artifacts well preserved proving
the
posterity of this town in the past. After the visit, there is an
optional lunch in a Restaurant and the excursion to
Mount Vesuvius by bus up to 3.000 feet and on foot to the crater
for the visit with local authorized guide. A visit to a cameos and
corals factory will take place before the return journey.
Entrance-fees are not included in the excursions' prices.

taxi transfers from Naples train station/airport to Hotel Onda Verde:
The best way to get to Hotel Onda Verde from Naples is by pre-arranged
taxi. With pleasure we could arrange a luxurious and comfortable
Mercedes to meet you at the Naples airport or train station and bring
you directly to us - about 90' min. route driving. With this method you
will be met at either the Naples airport or railway station (Piazza
Garibaldi stop ONLY) by a driver holding a sign with your name. Then you
will ride comfortably to Hotel Onda Verde, enjoying the beautiful
scenery without worries about directions or charges.
We highly recommend you come to the Hotel Onda Verde via our arranged
taxi transfer.
However, if you elect to rent a car and drive yourself,
please be aware of the difficulty, narrow and winding roads to the
Amalfi Coast. Please also note if you decide to independently reserve a
taxi without our help, other taxi services charge you for a full round
trip price; even if you do not use the return that day. With us you are
only paying when you ride.

Traveler Reviews
There is so much to do along the Amalfi Coast and Onda Verde as a homebase is
certainly ideal (center from everything and quiet). You can go to the following
towns by public bus (SITA bus - no more than Euro 5.00 fare per ride) - Amalfi, Ravello, Praiano (can be skipped), Positano, and Sorrento. Other than Praiano
which is only 1 km away from Onda Verde, Amalfi and Positano are the next
closest towns (approx. 15 minutes by bus). Sorrento is about an hour away, but
the bus ride is worth it and so is the town (the largest town by far, other than
Naples). I am hard pressed to tell you which one is the best because all the
towns are so beautiful. I can only suggest that you start early in the day,
right after breakfast, as most of the stores in the towns are closed from
lunchtime to early/late afternoon. Amalfi and Ravello are west of Onda Verde and
can be seen in one day. Positano and Sorrento are east of Onda Verde - we
estimate one day each. Make sure to book a day excursion to Capri/AnaCapri (gorgeous)
and if possible take time to see the Emerald Grotto (7-10 minutes from Onda
Verde) and will take no more than 2 hours. Seven days should give you enough time
to see these places. If your pace is a little faster, you can add Mt. Vesuvius
and Pompeii which is a day trip away also. Starting early gives you the
flexibility to see these places at a leisurely pace and to be able to go back to
the hotel to enjoy the view and just relax before dinner.

it is difficult to find the words to express our feelings regarding our 3
weeks at the Onda Verde. Wonderful, peaceful, exciting, comfortable,
friendly -- Italian -- all come to mind. It was such a joy to find that
your website actually UNDERSTATED the experience that we found when we
arrived.
Now when the world in which we live becomes too troublesome or hectic, we
just close our eyes and remember the sunrises from our balcony, the
breakfasts on the patio (with those handmade croissants!!) and the dinners
watching the fisherman return. And of course, your limoncella!!
Miro and all the staff you are
amazing and wonderful hosts. We stayed here for 3 nights. The kids 9 & 11
walked in to reception out onto the balcony and said we have to retire
here... they loved it. We had lunch on the first day with amazing fresh
Gnochi with tomato sauce and then we were asked if the dinner menu suited
the kids or did we want something else instead. The staff were just like
family to us. Nothing was to hard. The rooms were very clean and we had 2
wonderful rooms looking out to the sunrise and on a balcony right over the
sun deck. This was not like a HYATT it was a small family run hotel. We
did not go to eat anywhere else except for some lunches at amalfi and
positano for bread and local fare, we did not need a big lunch due to the
lovely Italian Breakfasts and Dinners. The beach was nice and clean and
the best thing to do was sit down on the balcony have a wine or cup of tea
and relax. The kids spent time on the pier fishing with the locals while
we relaxed. Also went for a swim with them each day at the rock beach down
below the hotel. Don't come here with a phone or PC or wanting to watch
the TV as this place is for pure relaxing. We will be coming back every 2
years if I have my plan. Service in a tradditonal family place is what
this place is all about. If you come to Amalfai Coast this is the place
